Market St. in San Francisco, between 8th and 9th St. teems with adventure, culture,excitement, and occasionally, danger. On a quick walk, one can encounter dozens of restaurants, stores, and businesses, while meeting a wide variety of people from all around the world.

This book focuses on a collection of various typographic exercises, specifically between 8th and 9th St. This area borders two separate worlds; the historic Civic Center, the backbone of the city's governmental authority, and the infamous Tenderloin district, and area riddled with hardship, poverty, crime, and addiction. In effect, this particular area of Market St. intertwines the very essence of these different worlds.
